Walk with Us – Session 1
Session 1 Devotional: Walking Through the Valley
Psalm 23:4 – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
At Zeteo Community, we meet women who have lived through valleys few can imagine. Valleys of betrayal, of violence, of exploitation. These shadows linger long after the physical danger has passed. But the story of Psalm 23 reminds us: God does not abandon us in the valley. He walks with us.
Healing is not a mountaintop sprint. It’s a slow walk through hard places. Together we are called to walk with survivors through the long shadows. We don’t rush them toward “better.” We offer steady, trauma-informed care, safe housing, warm meals, quiet conversations, consistent, unhurried presence that says: you are not alone.
This valley is not the end of the story. It is the place where fear begins to lose its grip—because love shows up and stays.
As you begin to walk with us in this season, ask:
Who are you willing to walk with through the dark?
And will you let God walk with you in yours?
Prayer: Lord, teach me to walk with others the way You walk with me—faithful, present, unafraid. Make me a light in someone’s valley.

Weekly Scripture Reading Plan
Week 1: Psalm 23:1–4
What does it mean that God walks with us, not ahead of or apart from us?
Reflect on how presence changes fear.
Week 2: Isaiah 43:1–3
“When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned…”
God’s promise is not escape, but nearness in hardship.
Week 3: John 10:11–15
Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. I lay down my life for the sheep.”
What does sacrificial care look like in your life or in Zeteo’s work?
Week 4: Romans 8:35–39
“Nothing can separate us…”
Reflect on what (or who) you are afraid of—and place it into God’s presence.
Walk With Us is a monthly giving campaign rooted in Psalm 23—a call to companionship, not urgency. When you become a monthly donor, you don’t just give. You journey. You show up month after month as a quiet but powerful presence in someone’s valley, beside their still waters, and toward a place of welcome.
