leadership persepctives
As you can see, 2025 has been a year of great progress with the Zeteo Community construction. As this year comes to a close, we are grateful and in awe for all that God has done and we look ahead with great excitement for the completion of this project and the opening of the homes.
We want to thank our donors, volunteers, prayer warriors and friends who have caught the vision and acted on it. There is much more to be done and we’re confident that God will finish what He has started. Our prayer is, “Father, let your Kingdom come and your will be done in the lives of these survivors and children as well as in ours.”
We believe God has given us a solid and transformative spiritual foundation for the Zeteo Community which is a great blessing for the survivors we currently work with and will continue to be for the residents, staff and everyone involved. Our community is growing and it’s such a joy to feel the love and support coming from each of you who has come alongside us.
Each one of you is greatly appreciated more than you know.
Love,
Kenton and Marlene

construction update
We are thrilled to share an exciting update on the construction on the property! The progress on both homes has been nothing short of inspiring, and the shells of both homes are now complete! This marks a major milestone in the building process. With siding, windows, doors, and roofsin place, these once-empty lots have transformed into beautiful structures full of promise.
As construction continues, the next step will be completing the shell of the Commons Building before moving into site infrastructure which will include building the septic drainage field, installing tanks and pumps, and connecting them to the homes. A new well will also be drilled, as well as gas and electrical services being brought to the homes.
You may recall, before we could begin construction over a year ago, we had to set fire to existing structures on the property making room for all God had laid before us. This is often how it feels for many survivors leaving a life of exploitation—setting fire to what is hurting to make space for the healing. As these homes rise

from the ground and we plan for the next phases, we continue to pray over the lives of tho we are called to serve. We have seen in real time, the beauty that rises up from the ashes. God, we stand in awe and give you the glory.

In August, key members of Zeteo Community attended The Abolition Summit in Denver, Colorado. This was far more than an anti-trafficking conference—it was a revival of the purpose and assignment God has called us into. The word zeteo, used in Matthew 6:33 when Jesus says, “seek first the kingdom of God,” means “to seek in order to find.” We are called to “zeteo” the kingdom, but what does that mean exactly?
The kingdom of God is not something we merely speak about; it must be lived and demonstrated. Sula Lael (whom you may remember from our 2024 event) challenged us yet again in Denver. “We can’t talk about this Jesus that we don’t demonstrate.” Survivors do not need empty words; they need to encounter the living reality of God’s love, authority, and truth through us.
God’s kingdom stands in contrast to the empires of this world. Jamie Winship describes it in this way. Empires thrive on separation, control, and power, valuing people for what they produce. The kingdom, however, is rooted in connection, love, and identity—it frees rather than trafficks. Our worth is not in what we can do for God but in who he created us to be. From that identity flows our assignment, carried out not in pride but in intimacy with the Father, redemption by the Son and empowerment by the
Holy Spirit. Authority is not achieved but appointed—not for our glory, but his.
The cost of the kingdom is different from our culture’s economy. It calls us to humility and collaboration, to sustainability through unity rather than competition.
We were created for community, empowered by the Spirit to influence the world—not own it. The Holy Spirit is not a formula to memorize, but the very presence of God equipping us to live in our true identity, ushering in glimpses of the new heaven and new earth. This is what we invite women and children into within Zeteo Community—and what we invite you into as well!
As we enter a new year, we are reminded that we are part of something far beyond our comprehension. Your giving is not just sustaining trauma recovery, safe homes, or life skills classes—it is joining God’s redemptive story, where captives are set free and love overcomes fear.
We invite you into the kingdom work God has already started. Together, let us seek first (zeteo) his kingdom, and trust that all else will be added.

holiday devotional
As we approach the holiday season, home is a theme all around us. Whether we’re going home for the holidays or singing I’ll be home for Christmas—home is on our hearts; but what makes a home?
Reflect on what comes to mind when you hear the word home. In John 14:23, Jesus says that God makes his home with us—not because we prove ourselves worthy, but because of love. Love is what initiates the creation of home.
As God dwells with us, his love transforms us. Much like picking up the accent of a new hometown, we begin to sound more like him when we dwell or abide in him. His Word shapes our heart language, and his presence draws us to respond, not out of obligation but out of love.
Home cannot be built on fear. Home is love—and God himself has chosen to make his home with you, not just for the holidays but every day of the year. Welcome home.
